Victorian STEM Investment Critical for Driving Innovation

The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE), the Royal Society of Victoria (RSV), and the Science Teachers’ Association of Victoria (STAV) warn of a crisis in science and mathematics education. With declining participation rates in senior secondary courses, Victoria is not developing enough STEM-skilled professionals to meet the state’s current and future needs.

Aiming Higher: Improving Science Education in Victorian Schools

Future careers will rely heavily on ‘21st century skills.’ To aim higher for science education, we require a multifaceted approach that addresses the diverse needs of students, integrates relevant content, and provides robust support for teachers. STEM can too often be perceived as “too difficult” or not interesting by students throughout their education.

Migrant Science Communication Accelerator – New Program Launched

Our pilot program will assist four Victorian, science-qualified migrants to tell their migration story while developing a science show that is both engaging and suitable for Victorian schools. We will train you to deliver it, and then help market it to schools through Cultural Infusion’s Schools Program.
