The Royal Australian Mint has released an International Polar Year (IPY) Commemorative $5 coin, depicting the Antarctic and Australian Antarctic Territory.

The coin is uncirculated, numbered (only 500 were minted), 2009 RAM gold-plated (on silver proof) $5 IPY Polar Series “Explorers” Coin in a presentation box.
