Norman Kennedy is an engineer and graduate of The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He currently works for the Victorian State Government. Norman has worked in the UK and Saudi Arabia (during the first Gulf War) and thinks Australia is a wonderful place to work and live.
Norman believes passionately that science is not given the recognition it deserves within mainstream society and believes that the RSV has an important role to play in raising the profile of science. He looks forward to the day that scientists receive as much recognition as sports stars.
With a strong background in corporate governance within the not-for profit sector, Norman brings these skills to the RSV. As Treasurer from 2009 to 2017, he championed the establishment of a financial management plan and the RSV Science Foundation to secure the long term future of the society.
