Dr Michael Ackland is Senior Medical Advisor to the Office of the Chief Health Officer (CHO) in the Victorian Department of Health and serves as Acting Chief Health Officer for Victoria during absences of the CHO. In his role within the Department he has responsibility for providing high level advice to government and leadership through the Office of the Chief Health Officer on a broad range of health issues that have potential to impact on population health and wellbeing.
